MVA INTERSTATE 85

January 16th, 2005 Townville VFD and Fork Rescue Squad were dispatched to I-85 North @ 15 mile marker for a reported head on motor vehicle accident with heavy fire.  Station 17 responded with 2 engines and 17 total personnel.  Upon arrival, two vehicle's were found in the median fully engulfed in flames with severe damage.  Engine 17 initiated fire attack using two attack lines, and a booster line.  Engine 17-1 arrived on scene and established water supply for Engine 17.  Fork Rescue Squad transported one patient with minor injuries.  The other victims were deceased upon impact, and extricated from the truck by Fork Rescue and Townville Fire personnel.
